Will M4A to MP3 lose quality?

M4A commonly contains AAC or ALAC. If your M4A contains AAC, it is already lossy, and encoding to MP3 can introduce additional quality loss. If your music player supports M4A, you may prefer to keep the original.

When should I convert?

Use MP3 when the target device or application does not accept your source M4A file. DRM-protected or damaged files are not supported. This converter cannot remove DRM.
