MP3 is a lossy format. Selecting 320 kbps cannot recover audio quality from the source.

FLAC vs MP3: what changes?

FLAC is lossless and preserves decoded audio samples. MP3 uses lossy compression, so even at 320 kbps, it will not be lossless. Keep your original FLAC files as an archive and use the MP3 copy for compatibility or saving space.

What settings should I use?

192 kbps is a practical starting point for casual listening; 256 or 320 kbps can reduce audible encoding artifacts but make larger files. The browser performs the work locally, so long high-resolution FLAC tracks may take longer.
